Let us introduce you to Dr Dhana Rajderkar, Director of WIDI SIM! Dr Rajderkar is an Assistant Professor & Chief of Pediatric Radiology in the Department of Radiology with the College of Medicine at the University of Florida.
Dr Rajderkar hails from India, where she completed medical school, radiology training & worked as a faculty member at Indira Gandhi Medical College & Hospital in Nagpur. She has two Indian board certifications, including Diplomate in National Board in Radio Diagnosis. Dr Rajderkar was also trained at one of the most prestigious Radiology institutes in the United States – Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University in Saint Louis, Missouri. She also has American Board of Radiology & American Board of Nuclear Medicine certifications.
During her training, Dr Rajderkar developed a passion for resident teaching & education. She has subsequently worked extensively in academic radiology settings across the globe. A strong clinician, Dr Rajderkar aspires to ensure her trainees equally possess the essential skills of a radiologist, including visual expertise, attention to detail, critical thinking & excellent communication skills.
Dr Rajderkar’s dedication to research is evidenced by her many peer-reviewed publications & scientific/oral presentations. However, her soul lies in resident education & she has recently devoted the majority of her time to assist residents with presenting more than 40 educational exhibits at the local, national & international levels since joining the Department of Radiology in July 2014. She believes that as a teacher, she can cultivate a very successful generation of future radiologists.
