I highly recommend the use of the WIDI mammography screening module. It provides a great overview of mammography screening for residents of all levels which increases efficiency for both the trainee and the instructor. The follow up SIMulation was created to build the trainee’s eye for cancer detection and to increase specificity for recall.

At the University of Florida we have been utilizing our innovative online platform WIDI to train residents in the Division of Breast Imaging. It covers all the basics of mammography with a step-by-step approach to the interpretation of mammograms. The module includes practice cases to reinforce material. I would highly recommend this module to any mammographer who is looking for a comprehensive and user-friendly way to train residents in mammography.
